Christopher Michaelsen is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law of the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He teaches and specialises in international law, human rights and international security. Prior to joining UNSW in 2008, he served as a Human Rights Officer (Anti-Terrorism) at the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Warsaw, Poland. He held visiting and adjunct appointments at the University of Hong Kong, Brooklyn Law School, LUISS Rome, Akita International University and the Australian National University.
