On 14 December 2018, SCAN held a roundtable that presented a three-dimensional framework to understand influence on Security Council decision-making. The New York event was attended by diplomats from selected UNSC member states.

The framework identifies three key dimensions that have a bearing on elected members’ influence on the Council: the pathways of influence, the purchasing power of influence and the practice of influence. The briefing note can be accessed here.
